    Abstract:

We present the application of the scattering matrix method, which has already given some results for quantum wells, to the modeling of type-II superlattices for which the results of the Empirical Tight Binding Methods (ETBM) are no longer accurate enough. Using the K.P model for the description of the materials enables also the use of smaller matrices for the numerical calculation. More convenient to use, the results of this simulation can be used for the modeling and the design of a large set of type II superlattices.
