The energy saving mechanism of the infrared radiation coating was discussed. The effect of the refractory coating on the temperature of tie exit gas from fuel heating furnace and also the relationship between coating and the temperature of the furnace outer surface were analyzed. The effect of energy saving by means of the infrared coating was evaluated in both theory and practice.
