Analysis of the millimeter wave propagation in a rectangular dielectric waveguide using the FDTD method is presented. In comparison with other methods,the FDTD method is not restricted in the cases of higher or lower permittivity, and good results can be reached even at high permittivity. By using the FDTD method,the propagation constant of each mode as well as its field distribution can be obtained.
