    • Overview of Conformal Domes and Their Aberration Correction Methods

      2012, 33(10):1-6.

      Abstract (1302) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (939) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:To let a high speed infrared electro-optical guided missile have good aerodynamic performance, a conformal dome can be used to replace the traditional spherical dome. Since different conformal optical correction elements are existed, seven different correction methods are summarized. Among them, the axially translating phase plate, counter rotation phase plate, Zernike wedge and deformable mirror are dynamic correction methods. The fixed corrector and arch corrector are static correction methods. There is another method in which the static correction is combined with the dynamic correction. The fixed correction method is discussed in detail and several common correction surface types are given. The conformal optics is one of the key technologies for developing high speed infrared electro-optical active guided missiles. The research on conformal optics is of practical significance.

    • Influence of Atmospheric Transmission Effect on Characteristics of Detection System

      2012, 33(10):11-16.

      Abstract (1623) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (872) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The infrared radiation features of targets and background are analyzed. A mathematic model of radiant temperature difference transmission of a target and its background is established. The influence of atmosphere on infrared radiation transmission is studied. The influences of water vapor absorption, carbon dioxide absorption and atmospheric scattering on infrared radiation transmission are investigated respectively. The main performance evaluation parameters of a detection system, such as modulation transfer function, minimum resolvable temperature difference and visual range, are calculated. Through simulation, a distorted target image formed by the detection system is obtained. The research result shows that the atmospheric transmission effect can make the target image formed by the detection system to be blurred and cause the contrast between the target and the background to be decreased.

      Abstract (1109) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (892) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The CODE V optical design software is used to design a TV micrometric lens for a centering item with an inner adjusting focus. The lens is composed of four lenses. It has a symmetric structure with positive and negative focal lengths. Its focal length, numerical aperture and field of view are 17.20 mm, 0.063 and 16.82? respectively. The lens operates in the waveband from 486 nm to 656 nm. Its total optical length is 68 mm. It has the maximum distortion of -1.13% in the full field of view and the modulation transfer function greater than 0.64 at a space frequency of 60 lp/mm. The design result shows that the system has good imaging quality and a compact structure which meet the practical requirements.

    • Design of Real-time Infrared Image Acquisition and Pre-process System Based on FPGA

      2012, 33(10):21-24.

      Abstract (1504) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (1588) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:A FPGA-based real-time infrared image acquisition and pre-processing system is designed. Beginning from the overall design, the design principle of the system and each component of the hardware circuitry are presented. Since the image processing system in the current target range equipment may destroy the detail in an image while it reduces the impulse noise in the same image effectively, a cross-window-based method for implementing fast median filter algorithm in FPGA in real time is proposed in combination with the advantages of FPGA in the aspects of parallel structure and pipelining. The high-level algorithm in a target range is replaced with this method and much precious processing time is saved. In this system, several technologies such as modular design, assembly line and ping-pong operation are used. The experimental result shows that the method has a better noise suppression ability and can improve the instantaneity of the entire system. So, it is of great value in practical applications.

    • Geometry Identification of Fixed-depth Internal Heat \\[-2.5mm]Sources in Three-dimensional Test-piece Based on Surface Temperature Measurement

      2012, 33(10):33-38.

      Abstract (1336) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (913) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The inverse heat conduction problem based on surface temperature measurement is not only the key theoretical basis for the quantitative development of thermographic nondestructive techniques, but also an important and difficult issue. To identify the geometry of fixed-depth internal heat sources in a three-dimensional test-piece, the three-dimensional test-piece is simplified to a one-dimensional model so that establishing the relationship between the measured temperature and the internal heat sources in one-dimensional problem. The internal heat sources obtained can be corrected by the modified one-dimensional correction method until reaching the stopping criterions thus the result identified can make the error between the calculation temperature distribution and measured temperature distribution to be minimum. Numerical test cases show that the method is effective and simple.

    • On-site Determination of Grape Soluble Solid Content (SSC) Based on Spectroscopic Technology

      2012, 33(10):43-48.

      Abstract (1368) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (1823) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The fast detection of inner quality of living fruit is of importance to the selection of optimal harvest time and to the information management of an orchard. The trellised grapes in the southern part of our country are used as the research object. The soluble solid content (SSC) of four kinds of grapes in growth is detected by using a visible and near infrared spectrophotometer on site. The SSC correction models are established by using Partial Least Square regression (PLS) , Latent Variable and Artificial Neural Network (LV-ANN) and Latent Variable and Support Vector Machine (LV-SVM) respectively. The prediction performance of these models is evaluated by using a validation set. Compared with the PLS and LV-ANN models, the LV-SVM model has the best prediction performance. The experimental result shows that the combination of spectroscopy with the LV-SVM modeling is suitable for the nondestructive SSC detection of living grapes in an orchard.
