Abstract:The development status of CMOS readout circuits (ROIC) of mercury cadmium telluride focal plane array devices were reviewed by summarizing and analyzing some papers published in recent years. The related concepts of ROIC were discussed. The unit structures of some preamplifier circuits were listed and their operating characteristics were analyzed. The effects of some factors such as integration time, integration capacitance, multiplexing and etc. on the design of ROIC were presented.

    • An On-line Accurate Measurement Method for Nano Film Thickness

      2011, 32(7):9-16.

      Abstract (1378) HTML (0) PDF 1.08 M (723) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:A novel thin film thickness measurement method is proposed. In the method, a transition layer which is thick enough for interference is used as a substrate. So, the thickness of the deposited layer can be accurately measured by measuring the shift of an interference peak before and after deposition. Because the thickness of the transition layer has already induced interference, the interference can be changed even if the newly deposited layer is very thin. According to the change of the interference in transmittance or reflectance spectra, the thickness of the layer can be determined accurately and easily with a measurement limit of 1 nm at least. This method is simple and fast in operation. It is very suitable for the on-line detection and real-time monitoring in coating industries, particularly for the thickness measurement of weak absorption ultra-thin films.

    • Design of Low-loss and Wide-band Metallic Photonic Crystal Bend Waveguides

      2011, 32(7):17-22.

      Abstract (1066) HTML (0) PDF 1.14 M (769) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:A two-dimensional photonic crystal waveguide using metal is designed. The transmission characteristics of TM wave in three kinds of two-dimensional 90? bend waveguides are investigated by using the finite difference time domain (FDTD). The curves of transmission efficiency changed with the period at an appropriate filling factor are given. Finally, the best structure among the waveguides is further optimized to have a bandwidth of 99 nm at 3 dB and a transmission efficiency of 98.2 % at the target wavelength. The lattice constant α and the diameter of the metal pillar R in the structure are 1.190 μm and 0.809 μm respectively.

    • Automatic Registration of Visible and Infrared Images Based on Corners and Hu Invariant

      2011, 32(7):23-27.

      Abstract (1645) HTML (0) PDF 622.25 K (1199) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:According to the automatic registration of visible and infrared images, a new method based on Harris Corner and Hu invariant is proposed. In this method, the adaptive thresholds are used to segment visible and infrared images and the Harris factors are used to detect the corners in the segmented visible and infrared images respectively. After analyzing the correlation of the corner neighborhoods in the original images, the coarse corner matching is realized. Then, the RANSAC algorithm is used to remove the outliers in the coarse matched corners and the Hu invariant is used to further filter the wrong matching. Finally, by using the matched corner as the control point of projection transformation, a projection transformation model is obtained. The model can be used to conduct the projection transformation of the images to be matched and make the images registered. The experimental result shows that the method has a high accuracy in registration and can automatically register the visible and infrared images.

    • Application of VV&A in Infrared Target Simulator and Its Fidelity Evaluation

      2011, 32(7):28-33.

      Abstract (1242) HTML (0) PDF 724.92 K (992) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) technology is used in an infrared target simulator system and the VV&A operation mode of the infrared target simulator system is studied. Then, a property system is built according to a point target simulator. The fidelity of the simulator system is evaluated. The result shows that this method is feasible. It can use the fidelity definition flexibly and evaluate the credibility of the simulator indirectly.

    • Design and Application of Software Platform for Electro-optical Countermeasure Simulation Test System

      2011, 32(7):34-37.

      Abstract (1242) HTML (0) PDF 462.33 K (657) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Compared with outdoor electro-optical countermeasure test, indoor test has the advantages of flexibility, controllability and low-cost and can overcome some constraints of the outdoor test. According to those advantages of the indoor test, an idea for building an electro-optical countermeasure simulation system is proposed. Firstly, the main functions and components of the software platform for the electro-optical countermeasure simulation system are presented. Then, the design and application of the software platform are illustrated in detail. This software platform is successfully used in a distributed electro-optical countermeasure test system. It is also helpful to the building of similar systems.

    • Estimation of Moisture Content of Grassland Fuel Based on Hyperspectra

      2011, 32(7):38-42.

      Abstract (1564) HTML (0) PDF 702.81 K (671) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:A FieldSpee Pro FRTM spectrograph produced by ASD company in USA is used to obtain the spectral data of the grassland fuel with different moisture content during fire prevention period. A dry weight method is used to get the moisture content of the samples. The continuum removal is used to process the spectral reflectance curves. When using the area near 1400 nm as the wavelength range related to water absorption characteristics, the spectral absorption index, spectral absorption depth index, curve length and curve area etc. of the samples are calculated. Then, the correlation of the calculated results with the measured moisture content of the fuel is analyzed. It is found that the correlation of the curve length index with the moisture content is highest, reaching 0.77. By making a regression analysis of curve length index and moisture content, a mathematic model is established and tested. The test result shows that the model has its predictive correlation coefficient r up to 0.80. This method can detect the moisture content of grassland fuel quickly. It is a new way to predict prairie fire quickly and directly.
