    • Constant False Alarm Rate Detection of Small Targets in Clutter Background

      2009, 30(9):1-5.

      Abstract (1341) HTML (0) PDF 568.65 K (2263) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:To detect a small dim target in the clutter background, a CFAR method based on the CEM algorithm is described. The output distribution of a CEM detector is given and the TM-CFAR method is adopted to get CFAR thresholds. There is extended tail probability in actual detector distribution. This problem is solved by combining the CEM algorithm with the morphology method. The method is tested with the ETM Satellite data. Computer simulation shows that the method is robust. At the desired probability of false alarm PFA <10-4, it can effectively detect the dim target even at the condition of SCR <-5dB.

    • Fusion of Remotely Sensed Image Based on Least Absolute Deviation

      2009, 30(9):6-11.

      Abstract (1291) HTML (0) PDF 516.38 K (1474) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Image fusion based on the linear relationship between panchromatic and multispectral data is feasible and widely used for the fusion of remotely sensed images. The GS method is analyzed by using a GCOS model. It is found that the GS method can estimate the linear relationship through least squared regression. Since the least absolute deviation is more robust than the least square, it is expected that the fusion method based on the least absolute deviation is better than the least square in performance. A novel image fusion method based on the least absolute deviation is proposed and is tested for the IKONOS images. The experimental result shows that this novel method is an effective modification for the common GS method.

Abstract:The driving control technique of a moving mirror is very important for a Fourier transform spectrometer. According to the principle of an interference imaging spectroscopy, the progress of the driving techniques of moving mirrors and their applications in Fourier transform spectrometers are presented. A new driving method of a moving mirror based on an oscillating interference framework is proposed. On the basis of the fuzzy PID control, the implementation of the closed loop control method of this driving system is given.

    • Influence of Photoinduced Surface Plasma in Semiconductor on Transmission Characteristics of THz Wave

      2009, 30(9):26-29.

      Abstract (1318) HTML (0) PDF 476.20 K (1157) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:A method to control the transmission characteristics of the THz wave in a silicon wafer by using a laser to irradiate the surface of a high resistance silicon (H--Si) wafer is presented. First, the laser at the wavelength of 808nm is used to irradiate the H--Si wafer so as to let it generate the photoinduced conductance. Then, the photoinduced conductance is used to control the absorption coefficient of the THz wave and hence to control the transmission characteristics of the THz wave in the silicon wafer. The transmission characteristics of the THz wave in the silicon wafer is measured when it is irradiated by the laser with a light intensity of 1.9W/cm2. Under the irradiation by the laser with a light intensity of 1.9W/cm2, the transmission of the THz wave in the 0.07cm silicon wafer is reduced by 20%. The experiment shows that it is feasible to control the transmission of the THz wave in a silicon wafer by using a laser.

      2009, 30(9):30-34.

      Abstract (1218) HTML (0) PDF 791.87 K (1276) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:As a new type of opto-electric countermeasure weapon, the laser weapon is being taken more seriously. But as a jamming weapon in the infrared waveband, it is rarely reported at present. In this paper, the tracking system of an infrared imaging guided weapon and its core device, a silicon CCD are used as the objects of study. The principle of infrared imaging guidance is summarized and three approaches to jamming the infrared imaging guidance system by using a laser are proposed. Jamming experiment is made on the infrared imaging detector and tracking system by using a 10.6um laser as the jamming source. The images displaying jamming effectiveness are given and the factors which have influence on the jamming effectiveness are analyzed.

    • Automatic Matching of Infrared Sequence Images Based on Rotation Invariant

      2009, 30(9):35-40.

      Abstract (1782) HTML (0) PDF 715.69 K (2039) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The matching of infrared sequence images is a process to search the corresponding relationship between the pixels in a series of infrared images. Since it can directly affect the registration precision of infrared images, it is one of the key techniques for the data processing, such as the recognition, location and tracking of an object in video images. In order to increase the search speed, the Pyramid Strategy is used in image matching. In view of the features such as low S/N ratio of infrared sequence images, the wavelet threshold algorithm is introduced to filter the infrared images in preprocessing. For the infrared sequence images of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), the SIFT algorithm is used in image sequence matching and is also combined with the correlation coefficient control method so as to get rid of the wrong matching points. Because the matching is not affected by the rotation of the sensing platform at a large angle, good effectiveness is obtained.

    • Research on Method for Generating Images of Dynamic Infrared Point Targets Based on Image Synthesis

      2009, 30(9):41-45.

      Abstract (1295) HTML (0) PDF 564.31 K (1261) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:An infrared image simulation method is proposed. First, the radiation intensity and spectral distribution of a target in the detection waveband are analyzed and simulated. Then, the corresponding atmospheric effect model and imaging system effect model are established according to the modulation transfer functions of the atmosphere and the imaging system. Finally, in accordance with the infrared imaging principle and the detection parameters, the simulation model of the target is fused with the infrared image of the real background by using the image synthesis algorithm. Thus, the images of the target and scene are fast generated. The reliability of the scene is improved by combining the theoretical data with the experimental data. The method is of reference value to the testing and evaluation of an infrared search and track system.
