Abstract:Photonic bandgap-photonic crystal fiber (PBG-PCF) is one of the photonic crystal fibers. The localized light in hollow-core of air-silica photonic crystal fibers is demonstrated experimentally. The existent conditions of the photonic bandgap (PBG) is caculated on the basis of the Maxwell equations. At certain bandgaps, light can be confined and propagate through the hollow-core of the fiber. Each bandgap is corresponding to a whole 2D photonic bandgap in the cladding of the photonic crystal fibers. The experiment shows that when the air-filling fraction is increased, the relative bandgap size is increased. It should be noted that the PBGs are strongly suppressed when the air hole sizes are decreased.

Abstract:Environmental monitoring with Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy offers an effective method for the identification of hazardous gas pollutants. Infrared spectroscopy can reveal the spectral signatures of a pollutant when there is a temperature difference between the pollutant and the background radiation, resulting in the emission or absorption by the pollutant. Appropriate signal processing techniques enable real-time detection and can neglect the need for background radiation references. An algorithm has been developed for the detection of gaseous pollutants with single- or multiple-peak spectra. The algorithm has been successfully used for the detection of methanol with single-peak spectral signature, and ammonia as the representative of multiple-peak spectral signature pollutants.

Abstract:Machine vision, a cross-sciences discipline, has a wide application field. In recent years, with the innovation in theory and the development in technology, machine vision has developed so fleetly. The development status of machine vision's key techniques have been explained in detail, such as illuminating source, optical lens, camera, image acquirement, signal processing, executive framework, and so on. The technique of machine vision has found increasingly wide applications in many industrial fields. The applications in the following three fields (automatic inspection, intelligent assemblage and visual servo) are presented.

Abstract:The Zn concentration uniformity of lattice matched Cd1- yZnyTe substrates is becoming more and more important with the incrcascmcnt of the size of HgCdTe IR detectors. As the Zn distribution coefficient is greater than 1 in Cd1- yZnyTe crystal and the Zn concentration distribution is asymmetric, the dislocation of cpitaxially grown HgCdTe layers caused by lattice misfit is different. So, the measurement of the accurate Zn concentration of Cd1-yZnyTe crystal is very critical. X-ray diffraction is one of the effective ways to measure accurate lattice constant and Zn concentration, but it is not suitable for large area mapping. The Zn concentration of CdZnTe crystal can be obtained by IR transmission spectrum in short time and precision. Also the radial and axis Zn concentration distribution measurement by infrared transmission spectroscopy offer important references for concentration uniformity control.

Abstract:本文介绍了一种新型红外温度传感器的测量原理、设计制作和实验结果。其基本机构是利用高精度红外位移传感器测量热膨胀系数较大的有机玻璃的长度随温度的变化。我们通过运用灵敏度为0.001℃的高精度石英温度计对其进行了校准。这种仪器的温度测量精度可以达到10^-5℃数量级。与市场上现有的温度传感器相比,其灵敏度和线性度都有较大的优势,具有广泛的应用前景。
