Application of the infrared temperature measurement technique in temperature monitoring of float glass is presented. An on-line system for monitoring the temperature of the glass sheet in an annealing lehr is designed. The factors and errors which affect the temperature precision of the glass sheet in an annealing lehr is analyzed.
