The laser chaff is mainly used to interfere the laser seekers of semiactive laser guidance weapons. They either scatter the laser in the form of cloud and reduce the laser energy rapidly so as to make the energy reflected from the target less than the response threshold of the laser deeker, or take the form of false targets near the target and are illuminated by the laser illuminator of our own side to induce the laser seeker to acquire the scatter light from the false target. Therefore, the reflectivity and scattering efficiency are the important characteristics of laser chaff. The static reflectivity and dynamic scattering efficiency of five kind of laser chaff materials selected are tested and analyzed.
