Abstract:The existing integrated infrared polarization detector blind element detection mainly relies on the discrimination method in GB/T 17444-2013 to obtain dead and overheated pixels for blind element replacement. However, in actual use, some pixels of the detector cannot respond properly to polarized light, and these pixels cannot be removed through national standards, seriously affecting imaging quality, Therefore, it is necessary to add a polarization blind element detection method on top of the existing blind element detection method, in order to more accurately evaluate the blind element of polarization infrared detectors. In response to the above issues, this article proposes a method to obtain polarization blind elements based on extinction ratio, which can accurately achieve multi-dimensional simultaneous detection of polarization blind elements of polarization devices, conventional overheated pixels, and dead pixels.
