太赫兹时域光谱仪在陶瓷涂层及低压气体检测中的应用

中文摘要:太赫兹时域光谱仪(Terahertz Time-Domain Spectrometer, THz-TDS)在光谱学、材料表征、安检、通信等众多领域具有广阔的应用前景。首先介绍了一种稳定的1560 nm光纤短脉冲激光器及其用于THz-TDS系统的集成。然后用该THz-TDS系统对几种陶瓷基复合材料(Ceramic Matrix Composites, CMC)进行了无损检测。特别是在对热障涂层的厚度进行检测时,实现了微米量级的检测精度。与传统方法相比,太赫兹波对CMC具有较强的穿透性并且应用灵活,因此可提供更好的解决方案。最后,采用太赫兹异步光学采样(Terahertz ASynchronous OPtical Sampling, THz-ASOPS)系统对低压水蒸气进行了高分辨率光谱分析。结果表明,该系统的光谱分辨率达到10 MHz,比传统的THz-TDS提高了100倍以上。

Measuring ceramic coating and low-pressure gas spectroscopy using THz-TDS
Abstract:Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) could be applied to spectroscopy, material characterization, security check and communication. First, we present a robust and flexible THz-TDS based on a compact fiber short pulse laser for operation at the telecom wavelength of 1560 nm. Then, we use the THz-TDS system for non-destructive testing (NDT) of several ceramic matrix composites (CMC), the measurement thickness reaches μm level accuracy for thermal barrier coating (TBC). Contrast to traditional methods, THz technique provides a better solution due to proper transmission ability of the terahertz wave and transport ability of the THz-TDS. At last, we present the application for high-resolution spectroscopy of low-pressure water vapor using terahertz asynchronous optical sampling (THz-ASOPS) system, the resolution reaches 10 MHz, which is 100 times better than traditional THz-TDS.
