A full-wave analysis method was presented with the numerical mode matching theory to analyze the hybrid mode waveguide problems filled with inhomogeneous media.The unified dispersion equation and the general electromagnetic field expressions in thewaveguides were proposed. As an example,the transmission characteristics of the partially filled rectangular waveguides were calculated numerically,which can show good agreement between the results with the present theory and with the others.
