    Abstract:

    Based on the principle of measurement for the thermal diffusivity using the photothermal radiometry technique,the measurement set-up controlled by a microcomputer is introduced. Measurement results of the thermal diffusivity of several common metals are given,and some factors which affect the measurement results are discussed. The experimental results show that this new technique is a useful tool for fast measurement of thermal properties.
