    摘要:

    针对半导体激光器的结构和光束特点,分析了M2因子的概念与半导体激光器激光本质之间的关系,研究了其局限性, 探讨了激光光束质量的影响因素,提出利用准直代价作为半导体激光器光束质量评价因子,该因子由激光器的结构参数和光束参数有机组合而成,此值越小光束质量越好,越容易准直.新的评价因子即完善了“光参数积”的普适性,又具有针对性.

    Abstract:

    Based on the beam characteristics of semiconductor lasers, a new parameter for evaluating beam quality of high power semiconductor lasers was introduced. The shortcomings of M2 factor used in evaluating beam quality of semiconductor lasers were discussed and its limitations were pointed out. Moreover, some important aspects of the beam quality factor are discussed. The main factors which influence collimating the beam of semiconductor lasers are analyzed. The results suggested that the smaller the value of the new parameter is, the more easily the beam is collimated.
