    • Study of Multi-angle Polarized Reflectance Spectrum of LAS with Various Concentrations

      Abstract:In this paper, the sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) is used as a major test sample. The relationship between the polarized reflectance spectrum of linear alkylbnzene sulphonate (LAS) with different concentrations and the detection azimuth angle, detection zenith angle, light incidence zenith angle, polarization angle and waveband is measured by using a polarized bi-directional reflectance detection instrument, and is compared with the polarized reflectance spectrum of detergent and distilled water. The experimental results have shown that the concentration of LAS, the geometrical condition for measurement and the waveband are the main factors to affect the polarized reflectance spectrum of LAS. Moreover, the polarized reflectance spectrum of linear alkylbnzene sulphonate (LAS) with different concentrations can be changed apparently with the variation of the geometrical condition for measurement and the waveband. This work has formed a laboratorial basis for the further research on the application of polarization remote sensing to environment.

    • Optical Transmission Schemes for Focal-plane Data

      Abstract:To solve the problem that ordinary electrical wires used in dewar can easily lead to the increase of temperature, the optical transmission methods for transmitting the data from a focal plane to the outside of the dewar are studied according to the operation requirements of low temperature, low power consumption, high speed and small volume for cooled focal planes. The application of spatial light modulation and laser transmission methods in optical transmission are discussed, the corresponding schemes are designed and their advantages and shortcomings are pointed out. The experimental results have shown that the spatial light modulation method has the features of high speed and parallel transmission with a data transfer rate of up to 24Gbps, but its structure design is more complicated and higher power consumption is required. The laser transmission is a serial transmission with a data transfer rate of up to 2Gbps. It needs only a power consumption of 100mW and its structure is small and simple. So, the laser transmission method is a more practical data transfer method for cooled focal planes.

    • Infared Imaging Automatic Target Recognition Algorithm Based on SVM

      Abstract:In view of the issue of automatic target recognition met by infrared imaging guided missiles in the war, an automatic target recognition algorithm which uses several 213 images to recognize 3-D targets is put forward and a Support Vector Machine is used as a classifier. The simulation experiment results have shown that the algorithm can recognize the target at any angle in the 3-D space successfully and can solve the 3-D target recognition problem which is difficult to be solved by many 2-D recognition algorithms. At the same time, compared with the traditional recognition algorithms, this algorithm has a higher target recognition ratio.

    • An Image Enhancement Method Based on Wavelet and Nonlinear Extrapolation

      Abstract:In view of the problem of image enhancement, a new image enhancement method is proposed. This method combines the wavelet transform with the nonlinear extrapolation in frequency domain. It firstly utilizes the wavelet transform to enhance the high frequency components of an original image and then utilizes the nonlinear extrapolation in frequency domain to increase the high frequency components of the image; finally, the original image is enhanced. The experimental results have shown that this new method can improve the visual quality of images effectively.

    • Fabrication of HgCdTe MIS Device and Study of Interface Electrical Characteristics of Passivation Films on It (Ⅱ)

      Abstract:The basic principle and steps to measure the interface state density energy distribution of the passivation films in HgCdTe MIS devices by a low and high frequency capacitance combination technology are presented. The study has indicated that the passivation films of self-anodic sulfidization ZnS have met all of the surface passivation requirements of the PV HgCdTe focal plane array (FPA) devices.

      Abstract:Because of the novel electron transport and spin-magnetic characteristics, the potential applications of rare-earth alloy manganites have been expected a lot. In recent 5 years, a new type of p-n junctions has been fabricated bY growing the p-type manganite thin film on the n-type SrTiO3 substrate. In this paper, we would like to introduce the research on this novel device and forecast the prospect of the manganite p-n junction.

      Abstract:According to the practical needs of the shipborne infrared warning systems, the infrared radiation features of low altitude anti-ship missiles under the background of sea and sky are studied and an erected predigest infrared radiation model is established. The infrared radiation intensity of some type anti-ship missile in the long waveband (the main operation waveband of infrared warning system) is calculated from three main radiation sources including pout, flame and skin of the missile. An analysis of the calculation result is made finally.

      Abstract:To process images on a general computer by using software will take up nearly all of the operation capability of the CPU and hence the processing speed is relatively slow. Because of the powerful processing capability, Digital Signal Processors (DSP) can be used to fast implement all kinds of digital signal processing algorithms and have found wide applications in the field of image processing. In this paper, the development, structures and characteristics of DSP chips are described and their applications and future development in the field of image processing are presented in more detail.

      Abstract:In this paper, the calibration principle of a camera is presented in brief. Two groups of corners are detected by using a Harris corner detection algorithm and an improved algorithm based on Harris respectively. The Tsai algorithm is used for the calibration of the camera and the calibration results are used to reconstruct the world coordinates. Finally, the errors of those two detection methods are compared.
