    Abstract:

The characteristics and the adsorption principle of Activated Carbon Fibers (ACF) are presented in this paper. The adsorption characteristics of the gas and dropped particles released from the ACFs to the material at low pressures and low temperatures and the desorption characteristics of ACFs at different temperatures are discussed. The use of adsorbent can prevent the optical devices of spaceborne infrared instruments from being contaminated to a certain extent.
