    Abstract:

A space-borne imaging Fourier transform spectrometer is used to acquire infrared radiometric spectrum with high resolution on geostationary orbit and to provide vapor, wind, temperature and trace gas profiling and vertical character by mathematic reverse translation. Calibration is one of the key technologies to the instrument. The calibration precision and accuracy reflect the quality of the instrument and its application level of remote sensing information. This paper describes the current status of the calibration of infrared and visible channels for polar or geostationary orbit instruments. Some calibration problems and corresponding solutions of present Goes series satellites are also discussed.
