Detection of point targets in infrared image sequences is a difficult subject of information processing in recent years, and the Rough Set theory is a new mathematical tool to deal with vagueness and uncertainty. This paper presents a point target detection algorithm, which can combine the properties of target by Rough Set. The experimental results show that it can achieve high availability and reliability in point target detection.
